2004年、日本で実現した幻の楽器による古楽コンサートツアー
2004年、まだインターネットが今ほど普及していなかった時代、
私は Leonardo da Vinci が考案した幻の楽器「ペーパーオルガン」とともに、日本で古楽器のコンサートツアーを行いました。
会場に一歩足を踏み入れると、空気が静かに震えるような感覚に包まれます。ルネサンス期のヨーロッパの響きが、雅楽の繊細な音色と静かに重なり合い、まるで時間を超えて二つの文化が出会った瞬間に立ち会っているようでした。（写真は大塚国際美術館。システィーナ礼拝堂のレプリカの前での演奏会）
このプロジェクトは、雅楽師 東儀秀樹 氏とのコラボレーションなしには決して実現できませんでした。
その瞬間、音楽を通して互いの文化に深く共鳴する感覚を、来場者と共有できたことは、今でも鮮明に思い出されます。
そして、ダ・ヴィンチの楽器をスペインで復元できたのも、
カスティーリャ・イ・レオン州 が世界でも屈指のパイプオルガン文化を誇る土地だからこそ。
その歴史と響きの豊かさを感じると、文化は時間や国境を超えて人々をつなぐ力があるのだと改めて思います。（写真はペーパーオルガンと、その復元者ホアキン・サウラ氏Joaquin Saura)
いつか、この土地に息づくパイプオルガンの素晴らしさも皆さまに伝えられるよう、静かに準備を続けています。

In 2004, at a time when the internet was not yet as widespread as it is today, I organized a concert tour in Japan featuring early instruments together with the “Paper Organ”, an instrument conceived by Leonardo da Vinci.
This project would never have been possible without the collaboration of the Gagaku master Hideki Togi, and it remains one of the most memorable cultural exchange projects in my career.
It was a dreamlike experience in which the sounds of the European Renaissance blended gently with the tones of traditional Japanese instruments.
The reconstruction of Da Vinci’s instrument in Spain was made possible thanks to the extraordinary heritage of pipe organs found in Castile and León, a region known as one of the richest areas in the world for historic pipe organs.
One day, I hope to share the beauty of these remarkable organs with a wider audience. For now, I continue quietly preparing for that moment.

En 2004, cuando Internet aún no estaba tan extendido como hoy, tuve la oportunidad de organizar en Japón una gira de conciertos de música antigua junto con el “Organo de papel”, un instrumento ideado por Leonardo da Vinci.
Este proyecto no habría sido posible sin la colaboración del maestro de gagaku Hideki Togi, y permanece como uno de los recuerdos más significativos de intercambio cultural en mi trayectoria.
Fue un tiempo casi onírico, en el que los sonidos del Renacimiento europeo se entrelazaban con la delicada sonoridad de los instrumentos tradicionales japoneses.
La reconstrucción del instrumento de Da Vinci en España también fue posible gracias a la riqueza excepcional de órganos históricos que se encuentran en Castilla y León, considerada una de las mayores regiones del mundo en patrimonio de órganos de tubos.
Algún día espero poder compartir también la extraordinaria belleza de estos órganos con un público más amplio. Mientras tanto, continúo preparándome con calma para ese momento.
